Croome

An extra room outside the house that has been designed to connect with nature, the Croome is a perfect cosy retreat, or an ideal workspace.

Launched at the Malvern Autumn Show in September 2022, the Croome is inspired by Scandinavian outdoor living, where functionality and minimalism come together, this charming apex garden studio building benefits from clean vertical lines and a stylish terrace that provides you with an opportunity to truly unlock the potential of your outdoor space. The internal studio is insulated for year-round use. With a large picture window, crittall style joinery grade door and additional side window to increase daylight, wherever you are, we hope you will see trees, hear birds, and fully appreciate your surroundings.

Handmade by our experienced craftsman, the Croome is built in our Worcestershire workshop, where the exterior is finished with a natural oil wood stain in ebony. Specifically designed to be modular, our team will erect on site, typically within a few days, and you can make your mark with a range of optional enhancements and customisations.

Key features

• Designed for British weather: Fully insulated, internally cladded, and a large decorative terrace providing shelter from rain or shine, the Croome is created for year-round use. Isola Roofing Shingles are used as a roof covering due its manufacturing excellence that achieves the ultimate in waterproofing, tear and rot resistance. The Shingle is totally impervious to wind, rain and snow and can withstand extremes of temperature and humidity without deterioration.
• Scandinavian influences: With an apex roof, vertical cladding and outdoor terrace, the building provides functionality and minimalism, with an art-deco modernism in the joinery grade grid-style framed door and windows.
• Environment at its heart: Using FSC approved sawmills, market leading materials and hand built in Worcestershire, this building supports UK manufacturing, local employment and provides a sustainable connection to your outside space.
• Protecting your investment: Natural oil wood stain by OSMO has been chosen to highlight the grains of the wood and provide longevity. Two coats will be applied. With a microporous and breathable silver metallic finish for exterior wood, it is water repellent, weather, and UV resistant and protects against mould, algae, and fungal attack.
• Make your mark: From double glazing, composite decking to colour choices, you can put your individual touches to many aspects of the Croome, and truly customise your garden building.

Enhancements

• External colour – select any colour/stain from the Osmo Natural Oil Wood stain range, or upgrade to Osmo Country Colour or Osmo Garden Colour
• Double glazed windows & doors – it is possible to upgrade your studio building to double glazed windows and doors
• Electrical package – add a standard electric pack consisting of 3 x double power sockets (1 with USB charging points), 2 x wall lights, and 2 x external lights.
• Composite decking – enhance your terrace area and enjoy the colour choices, benefits, longevity of a range of composite decking options from Millboard or Smartboard.
• Roof material – upgrade to alternatives such as EPDM rubber roofing, recycled composite tiles, red western cedar shingles and more. Guttering may also be a requirement.
• Alternative sizes – It may be possible to create custom sized building. Contact the team to discuss.

Delivery & Installation

After all your inspiration, research and investment, a professional installation of your garden studio building on a firm base is essential to ensure longevity. All we need you to do is make sure that a firm and level base is ready for the building to be assembled. We recommend a concrete base that ensures flat and level surface, and at a minimum of the size of the floor of the building.

Worcester Timber Products offer a complimentary installation service (weekdays only) to customers in B, DY, GL, HR, WR, WV, WS postcode areas. For all other postcodes, please contact us to discuss options and surcharges. Our professional team will erect your garden studio building, ensure all fixtures and fittings are in place and in full working order. Our installers will clear away any waste materials and ensure your shed is ready for immediate use. We anticipate 2-3 days to fully install, insulate and prepare the Croome for your use, although reasons beyond our control such as weather may extend this time. On occasions, delivery may be made separately. Please also advise us of any known access issues or concerns.

Warranty

All our timber is pressure treated, and therefore guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for up to 15 years.
