Norton

The Norton is a new addition to our popular range of garden studios and summerhouses. Designed with a traditional apex roof but reversed to highlight the beauty of Canadian red cedar shingle roof cladding. Flooded with natural daylight, this summerhouse studio provides an idyllic hideaway throughout the seasons.

Hand-built to order, our garden buildings benefit from heavy duty framing, premium grade tongue and groove shiplap cladding, and market leading materials including stainless-steel fixings. Cedar shingles are renowned for its resistance to the effects of rain, sun, pests and time, and exude style and elegance. A single set of Joinery grade double doors are included, and in proportion to your chosen building size, three-quarter length window casements are installed along the frontage, and along one side of the building. All windows are designed to be top opening to ensure optimal airflow. With outstanding clarity, PERSPEX® clear cast acrylic has been selected for the windows and doors. Exceptionally hard wearing, and with its high gloss surface, it is superior to all other thermoplastic sheets with an 85% light transmission.

Your summerhouse studio can be enhanced to suit your style and lifestyle. For example, many alternative external tongue and groove cladding options now exist, including upgrading to matchboard, thermowood, cedar and composite. Interior walls can be insulated with 50mm PIR boards and membrane, and then lined with tongue and groove (untreated) matchboard, to give a fresh, clean finish. To further insulate your space for year-round use, upgrade to double glazing. Additionally, create a feature gazebo area by extending the roof and adding slatted side panels; this will certainly unlock the potential of your outdoor space even further.

Built to last, all timber used in our standard cladding and construction is selected from FSC approved sources, and pressure treated to prevent rot and decay; protected with a 10 year warranty. With knowledge and expertise at Worcester Timber Products, we would also recommend protecting your investment further by selecting a Natural oil wood stain by OSMO which highlights the grains of the wood and provides longevity. Two coats are recommended by the manufacturer. With a micro-porous and breathable silver metallic finish for exterior wood, it is water repellent, weather and UV resistant, and protects against mould, algae, and fungal attack. Other products that are highly sought after are OSMO Country Colour, which is a Eco-friendly satin wood finish for exterior timber or OSMO Garden colour which is water based and has an opaque finish. Base Preparation, Delivery & Installation

After all your inspiration, research and investment, a professional installation of your garden studio building on a firm base is essential to ensure longevity. All we need you to do, is, make sure that a firm and level base is ready for the building to be assembled. We recommend a concrete base that ensures flat and level surface, and at a minimum of the size of the floor of the building. 

The good news is a complimentary installation service is provided to Worcester Timber Products to customers in B, DY, GL, HR, WR, WS, WV postcode areas. We do install beyond these areas, please contact us to discuss options and surcharges.

Our professional team will erect your garden studio building, ensure all fixtures and fittings are in place and in full working order. Our installers will clear away any waste materials and ensure your shed is ready for immediate use. With consideration of our standard design, we anticipate one day to fully install for immediate use although reasons beyond our control such as weather may extend this time. Upgrades and enhancements may change this estimated time. On occasions, delivery may be made separately. Please also advise us of any known access issues or concerns.
