Wide Garden Shed with Windows and Single Door
The Kersoe is a heavy duty, handmade wide garden shed with windows and a single door, giving you a generously proportioned pent roof building across 13 standard sizes, including widths up to 14ft. It's the right choice when you want a well-lit, spacious interior without needing double doors, and suits both straightforward garden storage and practical use as a workshop or hobby space.
At 14ft wide, a wide garden shed with windows becomes genuinely spacious: there's room to work across the full width, store large equipment, or set out a permanent workbench on one side and use the other for general storage. The two framed PERSPEX clear cast acrylic windows ensure natural light reaches the full interior, and PERSPEX is harder wearing than glass with outstanding clarity and virtually no colour bias, so the shed stays well lit across all seasons. The single door can be hung left or right depending on your preferred access point, which makes this a flexible option for different garden layouts.
Construction and materials
The framework uses 70 x 50mm rounded planed CLS timber for a smooth, professional interior. The floor is 22 x 125mm matchboard (finished 19 x 120mm), the roof and door use 16 x 125mm matchboard (finished 12 x 120mm), and the shiplap cladding is 16 x 125mm (finished 12 x 120mm), all double nailed with stainless steel nails. All sheds are fitted with 24kg polyester charcoal felt. The single door is fitted with tee hinges, tamperproof screws, a brenton padbolt and turn buttons. A 70mm long throw 6-pin barrel lock from the GATEMATE range can be added to your basket and fitted at no extra charge.
Sizing, warranty and installation
This wide garden shed with windows is available in 13 sizes from 8 x 4ft up to 14 x 10ft, offering a clean spread of standard footprints in 6, 8 and 10ft depths. All timber is pressure treated and carries a 15 year guarantee against rot and decay. We stock a range of OSMO exterior timber treatment products to help protect the cladding. A firm, level concrete base is required before installation begins.
Complimentary installation for the Kersoe wide garden shed with windows is available to customers in B, CV, DY, GL, WR, WV and some HR postcodes. Priced from £926.40 to £3,720.00 depending on size, the Kersoe can be ordered online or by visiting our Worcestershire yard.
How does the Kersoe wide garden shed with windows compare to the Inkberrow and Hindlip?
All three are pent sheds with a single door and two windows. The Inkberrow offers more intermediate sizes but caps at 12ft wide. The Kersoe goes to 14ft wide in standard footprints (6, 8 and 10ft depths). The Hindlip goes widest of all at up to 16ft but with different size combinations.
How should I maintain the Kersoe wide garden shed with windows over time?
Inspect the roof felt each year and replace it if it shows signs of cracking or lifting. Apply a quality exterior preservative or stain to the cladding periodically, and check the door hinges, padbolt and turn buttons each season to make sure everything is in good working order.
Is the Kersoe wide garden shed with windows suitable as a home office, hobby room or workshop?
Yes, particularly in the wider sizes. The two windows provide natural light across the full interior, and the generous width makes it practical for setting up a permanent work area alongside storage space. For year-round use, insulation can be added as a bespoke enhancement.
Warranty
All our timber is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for 10 years. To extend the life of your shed further, we recommend treating it with an appropriate exterior preservative per manufacturer guidelines. As authorised OSMO stockists, we recommend their UV Protection Oil, Natural Oil wood stain or Country Colour satin finish range.
Important considerations
Your base must be firm, level and at least the size of the shed floor. We always recommend concrete or slabs. Our installation teams use vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and will need direct vehicle access to your property for several hours. If you're in a controlled parking zone, please arrange a permit in advance. There must be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches. Please advise us of any issues before production so changes can be made in time.
If the assembly team considers the site unsuitable on the day and you choose to proceed, you accept responsibility for the structural integrity of the building and indemnify Worcester Timber Products against any future issues. If the team must leave before completion for reasons beyond their control, no refunds are applicable and additional charges may be levied.
