Garden Shed with Two Windows and Double Doors

The Shipston is a heavy duty, handmade garden shed with two windows, one positioned either side of the double doors, giving an even spread of natural light across the full width of the interior. Lighting a shed from both sides rather than just one makes a real difference to how usable the space is, particularly for workshop tasks, craft work or any activity where you want to see clearly without shadows falling across your workspace.

Two framed 600 x 600mm PERSPEX clear cast acrylic windows are fitted as standard, each offering outstanding clarity and a high gloss surface that is harder wearing than glass and carries virtually no colour bias. Even after 10 years of outdoor exposure, PERSPEX continues to transmit 85% of visible light, ensuring this garden shed with two windows stays naturally bright over its lifetime.

Construction and materials

The framework uses 70 x 50mm rounded planed CLS timber for a smooth, professional interior finish. The floor is 22 x 125mm matchboard (finished 19 x 120mm), the roof and door use 16 x 125mm matchboard (finished 12 x 120mm), and the shiplap cladding is 16 x 125mm (finished 12 x 120mm), all double nailed with stainless steel nails. All sheds are fitted with 24kg polyester charcoal felt. The double door opens outwards and is fitted with traditional medium tee hinges, tamperproof screws, a brenton padbolt and turn buttons in a black finish. A 70mm long throw 6 pin barrel lock from the GATEMATE range can be added to your basket and fitted at no extra charge.

Sizing, comparisons and installation

This garden shed with two windows is available in 22 sizes from 8 x 4ft up to 10 x 12ft, with sizes measured as gable end width followed by depth. What is the difference between the Shipston and the Bredon?
Both have a pent roof and double doors, but the Shipston has two framed 600 x 600mm windows, one either side of the doors, while the Bredon has just one. The Shipston gives more balanced light across the interior.

Why would I choose two windows instead of one on a garden shed?
Two windows positioned either side of the doors distribute light evenly across the whole width of the building, which reduces shadows and makes working, organising or using the space much more practical than a single window allows.

Warranty

All our timber is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for 10 years. To extend the life of your shed further, we recommend treating it with an appropriate exterior preservative per manufacturer guidelines. As authorised OSMO stockists, we recommend their UV Protection Oil, Natural Oil wood stain or Country Colour satin finish range.

Important considerations

Your base must be firm, level and at least the size of the shed floor. We always recommend concrete or slabs. Our installation teams use vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and will need direct vehicle access to your property for several hours. If you're in a controlled parking zone, please arrange a permit in advance. There must be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches. Please advise us of any issues before production so changes can be made in time.

If the assembly team considers the site unsuitable on the day and you choose to proceed, you accept responsibility for the structural integrity of the building and indemnify Worcester Timber Products against any future issues. If the team must leave before completion for reasons beyond their control, no refunds are applicable and additional charges may be levied.
