Countersunk Self Drilling Screw for DuraPost

This countersunk screw for DuraPost is a self drilling fixing designed to secure timber fencing panels and composite gravel boards onto the DuraPost steel post system. DuraPost itself is a stylish, secure and easy to maintain galvanised steel post system suitable for virtually any type of fencing, and this screw is sized specifically to work with it.

Each countersunk screw for DuraPost measures 5.5 x 55mm and is finished in Ruspert Silver, giving a neat, low profile finish once driven into place. Being self drilling, the screw cuts its own pilot hole as it's driven in, removing the need to pre-drill before fitting timber panels or gravel boards to the post.

A common question when fitting a DuraPost fence is how many screws are needed per post, and as a guide, approximately one bag of 10 screws covers one DuraPost fencing post, which helps when working out total quantities for a fence run.

Pack size and use

This countersunk screw for DuraPost is sold in bags of 10, suitable for both timber fencing panels and composite gravel boards, making it a practical fixing across most parts of a DuraPost fence build.

Installation guidance

To fit, simply drive the screw directly through the timber panel or gravel board into the DuraPost steel section using a standard screwdriver bit, no pre-drilling required. For a complete DuraPost setup, take a look at our DuraPost U-Channel and composite gravel boards.
