Ombersley

Heavy duty dual workshop/store

Price range: £5,370.00 through £10,104.00

Ombersley Apex Roof Timber Workshop – Heavy-Duty Space for Work & Storage

The apex roof timber workshop from Worcester Timber Products is expertly handcrafted for customers who require strength, versatility and long-term durability. The Ombersley model has been designed as a robust, dual-purpose workshop and storage solution ideal for housing machinery, vehicles and equipment while providing a practical working environment.

Whether you need secure storage for a small tractor, quad bike or ride-on mower, or you’re creating a dedicated DIY workspace, this heavy-duty apex roof timber workshop delivers outstanding performance and flexibility. It can also be adapted for alternative uses such as a hobby room, home gym, games room or creative studio.

Strong Construction, Built to Last

Every apex roof timber workshop is manufactured by skilled craftsmen using premium, pressure-treated timber and time-served construction methods.

Reinforced Structural Framework

The building features a substantial 70mm x 50mm (3” x 2”) rounded, planed timber frame. This provides excellent rigidity and creates a clean, professional interior finish.

Premium Shiplap Cladding

Interlocking tongue and groove cladding forms a tight, weather-resistant exterior. The integrated protective lip detail helps rainwater disperse quickly, improving longevity. Each board is double-nailed using stainless steel fixings for additional strength and durability.

Heavy-Duty Floor System

Engineered to support heavier loads, the Ombersley apex roof timber workshop includes:

  • 22mm matchboard flooring (finished 19mm x 120mm)

  • Additional floor bearers for enhanced support

  • 16mm matchboard roof and door boards

  • 16mm shiplap cladding throughout

This ensures the structure remains stable and capable of supporting tools, equipment and machinery.

Practical Apex Roof Design

The traditional apex roof not only gives this apex roof timber workshop a classic appearance but also provides increased internal headroom — ideal for taller equipment or more comfortable working conditions.

As standard, the roof is finished with 24kg polyester charcoal felt. This reinforced membrane is stronger and more durable than standard shed felt, offering reliable weather protection and extended lifespan.

Secure & Functional Access

The Ombersley model comes fitted with:

  • One single personnel door

  • One double barn-style access door

  • Galvanised ironmongery

  • Tamper-resistant fixings

  • Brenton padbolt and tower bolts

For enhanced security, we recommend upgrading to a 70mm long-throw 6-pin Gatemate lock barrel. When ordered, this will be fitted during installation at no extra charge.

Optional windows can be added to increase natural light and ventilation within your apex roof timber workshop.

Sizes & Bespoke Options

Workshop sizes are based on gable width followed by depth. We also offer alternative heavy-duty workshop models including the Besford, Hanbury and adapted Chaddesley designs.

If you require bespoke dimensions, layout changes or additional features, our team can tailor your apex roof timber workshop to meet your exact requirements.

Complimentary Installation (Selected Areas)

Professional installation is key to ensuring your apex roof timber workshop performs at its best.

We provide weekday complimentary installation across B, CV, DY, GL, WR, WV and selected HR postcodes. For customers outside these areas, delivery and installation options are available upon request.

Our experienced team will:

A firm, level concrete base is required before installation.

Delivery Information

Standard-rate delivery is available throughout our service area. Depending on location, delivery may be carried out using our 3.5-tonne flatbed vehicle or a specialist carrier. Clear access to the property is essential.

15-Year Timber Guarantee

All timber used in our apex roof timber workshop buildings is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and fungal decay for 15 years.

To preserve appearance and extend lifespan further, we recommend treating your building with a quality preservative such as OSMO UV Protection Oil or Natural Oil Wood Stain. Worcester Timber Products is an authorised OSMO stockist and can advise on suitable finishes.
