A picket fence is a timeless way to define garden boundaries while keeping your outdoor space open, welcoming, and full of character. Our traditional wooden picket fence panels are ideal for front gardens, pathways, and decorative borders where appearance matters as much as durability.

Each fence panel is manufactured from high-quality, pressure treated timber to provide long-lasting protection against rot and decay. The individual picket pales are securely fixed using stainless steel nails, helping to prevent corrosion and unsightly staining while ensuring the fence retains its appearance over time.

With thick 22mm pales and consistent spacing, these fence panels offer excellent strength while maintaining a classic look. The open design allows light and air to pass through freely, creating a practical fencing solution that enhances the garden without making it feel enclosed

Supplied in a standard 6ft (1828mm) width and available in two heights with a choice of pointed or round tops, allowing you to tailor the fence to suit your garden style. Choose from tanalised green or tanatone brown finishes to complement your outdoor space.

Designed with DIYers in mind, this garden picket fence is supplied ready to install and can be easily paired with matching timber posts and picket fence gates for a clean, professional finish.

How to Install Pre-Made Picket Fence Panels (Quick DIY Guide)

Installing pre-made picket fence panels is a simple DIY project and offers a quicker, more consistent finish than building a fence from individual pickets.

What You’ll Need

  • Pre-made fence panels

  • Pressure treated fence posts

  • Postcrete or concrete

  • Exterior-grade fixings (galvanised or stainless steel)

  • Basic tools: tape measure, string line, spirit level, drill/driver

Before You Start

  • Measure the full fence run and confirm panel width and height

  • Check ground levels and decide whether panels will be stepped on slopes

  • Mark the fence line using a string line for straight alignment

Installation Steps

  1. Set post positions to suit the panel width

  2. Dig post holes (around one-third of the post height)

  3. Fix posts in concrete, ensuring they are plumb and aligned

  4. Offer the fence panel into place

  5. Secure the panel to the posts using exterior-grade fixings

  6. Repeat along the fence line, checking levels as you go

  7. Keep the bottom of the panel clear of soil to improve longevity.
