Picket Gate

Our traditional picket gate, or sometimes known palisade gates are made to match our high quality traditional picket fence panels.  They bring an attractive contemporary feel to this traditional method of defining the borders and boundaries of your property. Manufactured by hand using pressure treated timber, they have a guaranteed lifespan of between 10-15 years with minimum maintenance (depending on usage). Worcester Timber Products only use stainless steel nails and offer a range of gate fittings which not only last as long as the pressure treated timber but will also guard against the unsightly discolouration and streaking which is common after a few years.

Boasting superior 22mm thick picket pales (in comparison with many that offer only around 16mm thickness), our Picket Gates and are available in two colours: tanalised (natural colour, also referred to as green) which is recommended if you prefer a lighter colour or plan to paint your picket gate; or tanatone (brown) which gives a darker, stained look.

The traditional style picket panel and gates are available in heights from 600-1200mm (2-3ft), and has 75mm (3") wide picket pales. The gap between each picket pale is 65mm (2.48"). These come with a choice of round or pointed tops.  We also supply square cut timber posts  in a range of heights. We recommend purchasing posts that will allow at least 1' to go into the ground, or more if they are likely to be buffeted by strong winds. These should be fixed using postmix or metal post spikes.
