Solid Tongue and Groove Construction for Privacy & Strength
Each tongue and groove fence panel is built using 20mm interlocking boards, creating a solid, continuous surface with no gaps. This construction not only improves privacy but also increases the overall rigidity of the panel, making it suitable for exposed locations and long boundary runs.
The panels are fully framed using mortice and tenon joints, a traditional joinery method that improves structural strength and helps the panel stay straight and stable over time. A 70mm x 45mm timber framework further reinforces the panel, ensuring reliable long-term performance.
All timber used in our tongue and groove fence panels is kiln dried to improve stability before being pressure treated for protection against rot and decay. The boards are planed smooth with eased edges, giving the panel a refined finish that suits both traditional and contemporary gardens.
To maintain appearance over time, each panel is assembled using stainless steel fixings, helping to prevent rust staining, streaking, and discolouration once installed.
This tongue and groove fence panel has been laboratory tested for acoustic performance when installed using KDM H-posts. Testing has shown a noise reduction of up to 22dB, making it an excellent choice for gardens near roads, railways, or neighbouring properties.
