Summerhouse with Storage in a Single Handmade Building

The Fladbury is a dual-purpose building that combines a proper summerhouse with integrated secure storage in a single handmade structure. Rather than needing two separate buildings in your garden, one for relaxing and one for equipment, the Fladbury gives you both side by side under one pent roof, making it a practical and stylish solution for anyone who wants to make the most of their outdoor space.

The summerhouse section is fitted with joinery grade double doors, complete with ornamental ironmongery and a mortice lock. PERSPEX clear cast acrylic windows are set within the double doors, providing outstanding light transmission, and even after 10 years of outdoor exposure PERSPEX continues to transmit 85% of visible light, far outperforming standard thermoplastic alternatives. The storage area sits alongside, accessed via a separate single door fitted with traditional medium tee hinges, a brenton padbolt and two turn buttons. The storage width is 4ft as standard, and this can be amended to your preference if a different split suits your needs better.

This summerhouse with storage suits a wide range of uses beyond relaxing, including use as a home gym, playroom, workspace or even commercial uses such as pop-up retail or a garden studio with storage. A display model is available to view in our Show Garden.

Construction, sizing and installation

The framework uses 70 x 50mm rounded planed CLS timber for a smooth, professional interior. The floor is 19 x 125mm matchboard (finished 17 x 120mm), the roof and door use 16 x 125mm matchboard (finished 12 x 120mm), and the shiplap cladding is 16 x 125mm (finished 12 x 120mm), all double nailed with stainless steel nails. All buildings are fitted with 24kg polyester charcoal felt. All timber is pressure treated and carries a 15 year guarantee against rot and decay.

This summerhouse with storage is available in 31 sizes from 12 x 6ft up to 26 x 10ft, with sizes measured as width followed by depth. Can the storage side hold a bicycle or small machinery?

Warranty

All our timber is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for 10 years. To extend the life of your shed further, we recommend treating it with an appropriate exterior preservative per manufacturer guidelines. As authorised OSMO stockists, we recommend their UV Protection Oil, Natural Oil wood stain or Country Colour satin finish range.

Important considerations

Your base must be firm, level and at least the size of the shed floor. We always recommend concrete or slabs. Our installation teams use vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and will need direct vehicle access to your property for several hours. If you're in a controlled parking zone, please arrange a permit in advance. There must be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches. Please advise us of any issues before production so changes can be made in time.

If the assembly team considers the site unsuitable on the day and you choose to proceed, you accept responsibility for the structural integrity of the building and indemnify Worcester Timber Products against any future issues. If the team must leave before completion for reasons beyond their control, no refunds are applicable and additional charges may be levied.
