Elliottis Pine Plywood

Made from softwood veneers  throughout, harvested from FSC certified forests in Brazil, normally bonded together with a phenol formaldehyde adhesive, which has superior resistance to loss of bond strength with time. Elliottis Pine is a stiff and resilient softwood that is easy to work, ideal where strength and economy are primary considerations. The panel has been tested for strength in accordance with EN13986.

Key features include being suitable for interior use a structural component in humid conditions. meets EN314-2 Bonding class 3, meets EN636 Specification class 2 and is FSC Certified. Ideal for applications such as flooring, roofing and wall sheathing. FSC Elliottis Pine Softwood Plywood C+/C is manufactured in factories for which Factory Production Control certificate has been issued by a body recognised by European Commission.

Background

Plywood panels are made up of at least three thin layers (or plies) of wood, bonded together with a suitable adhesive. Each layer is usually orientated at a right angle to its adjacent layer. This creates impressive stiffness for a given thickness, which makes even some light weight panels suitable for challenging applications.

Ideal for many applications, including: roofing, flooring, wall sheathing, hoarding, shed and packing case manufacture. Some variants are suitable for heavy duty, engineering and marine applications. Specialist items such as birch throughout and birch faced for precision and engineering uses, ‘medium density overlay’ and phenolic film faced plywood for concrete formwork are available ex stock alongside flexible and flame retardant versions. All are available in a variety of panel sizes and thicknesses to suit most customer demands
