Timber Post Cap 120mm for a Neat, Protected Finish

This timber post cap gives your fence posts a great finishing touch while also protecting the end grain from rain and moisture. A common question when finishing off a timber post is why a cap matters at all, and the answer is straightforward: end grain is the most absorbent part of any post, so covering it with a timber post cap helps stop water soaking in and causing rot over time.

Each timber post cap measures 120mm x 120mm and is designed to suit a 100mm x 100mm post, giving a neat overhang all the way round. It's planed smooth with chamfered edges for a refined finish, and pressure treated to help stop rot and decay once installed outdoors.

Sizing and fit

It is sized at 120mm x 120mm, suiting a 100mm x 100mm post with a small overhang on each side to help shed rainwater away from the timber below.

Installation guidance

To fit, simply place it over the top of your post and secure with a suitable adhesive or fixing. For a complete fencing finish, take a look at our timber fence posts and fence rails.

Priced at £0.98, this timber post cap is available to order online or from our Worcestershire yard.
