Corner Garden Shed to Maximise Unused Space

The Earlswood is a heavy duty, handmade corner garden shed designed to make the most of the corners of your garden, rather than letting that space sit unused or awkward around a standard rectangular building. A corner shed sits with two of its walls running along two adjacent boundaries or fence lines, giving you a building that better fits the garden rather than being awkwardly positioned into it.

Whether a corner garden shed offers as much usable floor space as a standard rectangular building of similar dimensions depends on the layout, but the Earlswood is designed to maximise what the corner position gives you. It can work equally well as a storage building, a workshop, a summerhouse or a home workout space, depending on the size chosen and how you choose to fit it out. Construction and materials

The framework uses 70 x 50mm rounded planed CLS timber for a smooth, professional interior finish. The floor is 22 x 125mm matchboard (finished 19 x 120mm), the roof and door use 16 x 125mm matchboard (finished 12 x 120mm), and the shiplap cladding is 16 x 125mm (finished 12 x 120mm), all double nailed with stainless steel nails. All sheds are fitted with 24kg polyester charcoal felt. The double door opens outwards and is fitted with traditional medium tee hinges, tamperproof screws, a brenton padbolt and tower bolts in a black finish. A 70mm long throw 6 pin barrel lock from the GATEMATE range can be added to your basket and fitted at no extra charge.

Sizing, enhancements and installation

This corner garden shed is available in 25 sizes from 6 x 6ft up to 10 x 10ft, with sizes measured as gable end width followed by depth. Windows can be added as an optional enhancement, along with other bespoke variations. Please contact us to discuss what's available. We stock a range of OSMO exterior timber treatment products to protect and extend the life of the building.

All timber is pressure treated and carries a 15 year guarantee against rot and decay. Complimentary installation is available to customers in B, CV, DY, GL, WR, WV and some HR postcodes. How do the size measurements work for a corner shed?
Sizes are measured as gable end width followed by depth. For a corner shed the actual footprint is different from a standard shed of the same measurements, so it's worth contacting us if you're unsure what size suits your corner space.

What clearance is needed for installation?
There should be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches above the site. Please advise us of any potential issues before production begins, as changes can be made at that stage but not on installation day.

Can I self-install the Earlswood?
Self-installation is possible for those with a good level of carpentry or building experience. All components will be delivered to specification, though there are currently no assembly instructions available for this model.

Warranty

All our timber is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for 10 years. To extend the life of your shed further, we recommend treating it with an appropriate exterior preservative per manufacturer guidelines. As authorised OSMO stockists, we recommend their UV Protection Oil, Natural Oil wood stain or Country Colour satin finish range.

Important considerations

Your base must be firm, level and at least the size of the shed floor. We always recommend concrete or slabs. Our installation teams use vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and will need direct vehicle access to your property for several hours. If you're in a controlled parking zone, please arrange a permit in advance. There must be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches. Please advise us of any issues before production so changes can be made in time.

If the assembly team considers the site unsuitable on the day and you choose to proceed, you accept responsibility for the structural integrity of the building and indemnify Worcester Timber Products against any future issues. If the team must leave before completion for reasons beyond their control, no refunds are applicable and additional charges may be levied.
