Large Pent Shed with Windows and Single Door

The Hindlip is a heavy duty, handmade large pent shed with windows and a single door, available in a generous range of sizes that extends up to 16 x 12ft, giving the large pent shed with windows a footprint suited to substantial garden storage, workshop use or hobby space. Two framed PERSPEX clear cast acrylic windows are fitted as standard, bringing natural light into the interior and making the building comfortable to work in and navigate without needing artificial lighting.

If you're choosing between a large pent shed with windows and a narrower alternative, the Hindlip suits situations where the available garden width allows for a 14ft or 16ft wide building, delivering significantly more usable floor area than 10ft or 12ft options while still using a single door entry. The PERSPEX glazing has outstanding clarity, a high gloss surface and is harder wearing than glass with virtually no colour bias.

Construction and materials

The framework uses 70 x 50mm rounded planed CLS timber for a smooth, professional interior finish. The floor is 22 x 125mm matchboard (finished 19 x 120mm), the roof and door use 16 x 125mm matchboard (finished 12 x 120mm), and the shiplap cladding is 16 x 125mm (finished 12 x 120mm), all double nailed with stainless steel nails. All sheds are fitted with 24kg polyester charcoal felt.

The single door opens outwards and is available left or right hanging, fitted with tee hinges, tamperproof screws, a brenton padbolt and turn buttons. A 70mm long throw 6-pin barrel lock from the GATEMATE range can be added to your basket and fitted to the large pent shed with windows at no extra charge.

Sizing and installation

This large pent shed with windows is available in 15 sizes from 8 x 4ft up to 16 x 12ft, with sizes measured as gable end width followed by depth. All timber is pressure treated and carries a 15 year guarantee against rot and decay. We stock a range of OSMO exterior timber treatment products to help protect the cladding. A concrete base of at least the full floor size is needed before installation begins.

Complimentary installation is available to customers in B, CV, DY, GL, WR, WV and some HR postcodes. Priced from £926.40 to £5,314.80 depending on size, the Hindlip can be ordered online or by visiting our Worcestershire yard.

How does the Hindlip large pent shed with windows compare to the Inkberrow?
Both have a pent roof, single door and two framed windows, but the Hindlip offers wider size options, going up to 16ft wide and 12ft deep, while the Inkberrow caps at 12ft wide. The Inkberrow offers more intermediate sizes for those who need a specific footprint in the smaller range.

Is a large pent shed with windows like the Hindlip suitable for a home office or hobby room?
Yes, at the larger sizes, particularly from 14ft wide upward, the Hindlip offers enough floor area and natural light to function well as a hobby space, craft room or home office. For year-round use, insulation would be recommended as an enhancement.

What door hanging option should I choose?
Left or right hanging refers to which side the hinges are on when you're facing the door from the outside. Think about which direction suits your garden layout and where you'll be approaching the door from.

Warranty

All our timber is pressure treated and guaranteed against rot and decay (fungi) for 10 years. To extend the life of your shed further, we recommend treating it with an appropriate exterior preservative per manufacturer guidelines. As authorised OSMO stockists, we recommend their UV Protection Oil, Natural Oil wood stain or Country Colour satin finish range.

Important considerations

Your base must be firm, level and at least the size of the shed floor. We always recommend concrete or slabs. Our installation teams use vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes and will need direct vehicle access to your property for several hours. If you're in a controlled parking zone, please arrange a permit in advance. There must be no overhead obstructions such as branches, cables or arches. Please advise us of any issues before production so changes can be made in time.

If the assembly team considers the site unsuitable on the day and you choose to proceed, you accept responsibility for the structural integrity of the building and indemnify Worcester Timber Products against any future issues. If the team must leave before completion for reasons beyond their control, no refunds are applicable and additional charges may be levied.
