Alfrick
£2,253.60 – £7,147.20
With a unique corner design to maximise space without compromising style, the Alfrick is a new addition to our Garden Studio range. Created for year round use, this garden room benefits from a robust timber frame construction, insulation, EPDM roofing material, joinery grade doors and windows with double glazing. Named after the beautiful Worcestershire village, this is a perfect addition to your garden and ideal as a home office, music or photography studio, craft workspace or simply a stunning space to relax and unwind.
Construction, external cladding & roofing
Manufactured by hand to order using the highest quality materials, our experienced garden room and shed builders at Worcester Timber Products produce a wide range of classic, contemporary, and modern designs. The Alfrick garden room is a timber frame construction using heavy-duty 70 x 50mm (3 x 2) framing to ensure stability and a longer lifespan. The floor is produced from 19 x 125mm (Finished 17 x 120mm) tongue and groove matchboard, pressure treated to prevent against rot and decay, and set on tanalised bearers to create optimum airflow.
Themowood cladding has been selected for the exterior due to beautiful aesthetics and for its sustainable credentials. A softwood mainly grown in fully certified PEFC Scandinavian forests, Thermowood is heat treated without chemicals and the interlocking tongue and groove boards slot together to provide a seamless horizontal appearance. The cladding has a smooth and attractive finish and will naturally silver over time; however it can be treated or painted to make it a focal point to any garden or outdoor space. We recommend OSMO, with its range of Natural oil wood stain, UV Protection Oil Garden colour and Country Colour. Stainless steel screws and fixings are used.
The roof is secured using Firestone EPDM roofing material. With exceptional performance, professional roofers all over the world have been moving to this modern, low-impact membrane. Heat and weather resistant, it is not prone to moss or algae, or damage. This is finished with black plastic guttering and downpipe to the rear.
Insulation & internal cladding
For excellent thermal performance in this timber building, 50mm polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation boards are used. With a composite aluminium foil facing on both sides, boards are light and rigid and ideal for roof, wall and floor applications. A damp proof membrane is also installed between the cladding and the insulation boards. Internal cladding consists of untreated matchboard cladding, ensuring a smooth, clean finish.
Doors & Windows
The Alfrick features joinery grade double doors, draft sealed fitted with brass handles, brass hinges, 3 lever brass faced mortice lock. To compliment the doors and allow as much daylight into the space, two full height windows (top opening) are fitting, both top opening. To further aid the insulation, double glazing is used throughout.
